Heathrow's new Terminal 5 is opened this weekend, allowing the massive airport to accommodate 30 million more travelers each year. Airport expansion seems on the march; but the second phase - the addition of a third runway - is still in play. As a community, London is coming together to oppose the expansion, which threatens to force people from their homes and subject the area to exponentially greater noise pollution. Bryan and Riechelle Buchanan are two human beings simply being human. A friend has just recently spent time in Guatemala working with Jungle Medic Missions (founded by Bryan & Riechelle), after the recent floods and has sent me this beautifully written dispatch. Take time to download the video link and view these images - don’t hurry, just take your time – as it takes a short while to load and then to view. This says much about the fierceness of humanity and the role and purpose of a global community. A good Christmas story.
